2016 EVENTS, FAIRS, FESTIVALS & CELEBRATIONS

Beaver County has a number of festivals and special events held throughout the year for all to enjoy! All of the events are family-oriented, so load up the kids, get out and enjoy these wonderful Beaver County historical, cultural and ethnic celebrations. JANUARY

Beaver County Snow Shovel Riding Championship

This is a one-of-a-kind event for over 50 years.  The event is scheduled to be held on the second Saturday (weather permitting). If there is not sufficient snow on the ground to hold the event that day, it will be postponed to the following Saturday and thereon until it is held, up to the last Saturday in February. If cancelled the information will be posted by Noon on Thursday on the Beaver County Ice Arena Facebook page.  All ages can participate in regular and modified divisions while attempting to slide down a 160' snow-covered slope in the fastest time.  Trophies will be awarded to all first and second place winners. Spectators welcome.

South Side Historical Village Opening Day

PUSH Beaver County organizes a yearly fireworks festival sponsored by regional businesses and private donors across western Pennsylvania on the Saturday before the Fourth of July.  Beaver County BOOM! will be launched at 9:45 p.m. at the confluence of the Beaver and Ohio Rivers for all of Beaver County to enjoy. (Rain date the following Saturday).
